Kenya Convenes Government, Banks and Road Police on Road Safety in November. Guyana Convenes the Same Table in March.

The Africa Regional Road Safety Conference 2026 meets in Nairobi this November, bringing government ministries, development banks and road policing agencies to one table. Beyond the Wheels 2.0 sets a comparable table in Georgetown four months later.

On 26 and 27 November 2026, the KCB Leadership Center in Karen, Nairobi hosts the Africa Regional Road Safety Conference 2026, convened by KCB Group and the Global Road Safety Partnership. The conference takes stock of how the continent is implementing the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety, and it does so by seating government ministries, road policing agencies, development banks, private-sector operators and civil-society groups at the same table — free of charge, open to anyone with a stake in the outcome.

A familiar shape, a different continent

That mix — government, finance, enforcement and industry, deliberately brought together rather than left to meet separately — is the same shape Beyond the Wheels 2.0 is built around. On 9 and 10 March 2027, Clarke’s Productions Inc. convenes the Transportation and Road Safety Summit at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, Georgetown, organised across nine tracks that run from road safety and fleet management to insurance risk and regulatory reform, with government, fleet operators, insurers and chambers of commerce all in the room.

Neither event is part of the other. They are independent gatherings on independent continents, responding to the same underlying pressure: road traffic injury remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide, and the response that works is rarely one sector acting alone.

Nairobi puts government, banks, police and industry in the same room in November. Georgetown does the same in March. The pressure driving both is the same; the rooms are five thousand miles apart.

Where Beyond the Wheels 2.0 lands next

Beyond the Wheels 2.0 closes with a National Road Safety Declaration, signed by the institutions, operators and government agencies in the room — Guyana's own version of turning a conference into a commitment, on the same timeline that conferences like Nairobi's are already running on.
